Former major league outfielder Carl Everett was arrested in Colleyville, Texas earlier this month and charged with assaulting and injuring a family member.
He was arrested at his home around 5:30 a.m., and transported to the local county jail, where his mugshot was taken.
Although the details behind this arrest are not yet available, we do know that an emergency 911 call was made at Everett’s residence after he had allegedly got into a scuffle with an unidentified family member. Responding to the call, the cops went to Everett’s home and took him into custody.
It is not yet known who that family member was, but Carl Everett has six children and has been married to his current wife for nearly 20 years.
Unfortunately, this is Everett’s second arrest this year involving domestic violence. On April 27th, he was arrested in Tampa on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with a witness. The victim in that case was his wife, who was able to dial 911 before the situation worsened.
Clearly, he still has some family issues to deal with…
