Darius Miles arrested at airport

Former NBA small forward Darius Miles was arrested Wednesday at Lambert Airport in St Louis after he was caught trying to sneak a loaded gun through security.

He was booked into the St. Louis County Jail, where he posed for the mugshot featured here, and then released later that day. As of right now, no charges have been filed against Miles, and it is not yet known what kind of gun was found or how it was concealed.

All we know is that a loaded gun was discovered during Darius Miles’ X-ray screening, and that it is illegal for passengers to carry firearms and ammunition on airplanes.

Although no charges have been filed from this arrest, this is not Miles’ first run-in with the law. Back in May of 2009, he was allegedly pulled over for failing to use a turn signal, and arrested after police found a small amount of marijuana in his car during a search of the vehicle. He was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, but that charge was later dismissed after Miles successfully completed a drug education course.

He was also suspended for 10 games during the 2008-09 season, while with the Memphis Grizzlies, for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
