Former professional wrestler Matt Hardy was arrested on Monday at Raleigh-Durham International Airport and charged with driving while intoxicated.
Hardy was taken to the Moore County Jail, where he posed for the mugshot shown here, and released around 7:00 p.m.
According to the police, Hardy was arrested after another driver saw him swerving between traffic, nearly hitting two cars in the process. After failing the field sobriety test, Hardy was ordered to take a breathalyzer test, which he surprisingly passed.
However, between slurring his speech and attempting to get out of the vehicle before putting it into park, Hardy was cuffed and taken to jail.
Hardy, who told police that he was at the airport to pick up his girlfriend, has since been released from TNA Wrestling and is expected to appear in court Nov. 30.
The good news is that Kurt Angle is now not the only wrestler arrested for DWI this month.
