Detroit Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was arrested Wednesday morning for suspicion of DUI, just hours after a game against the Miami Heat.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Auburn Hills police pulled over the 24-year-old NBA player after he was clocked driving his 2015 Jeep Wrangler about 45 mph in a 25 mph zone.
The cop on the scene reported smelling alcohol and ran KCP through sobriety tests. According to the police report, when KCP was asked to say the alphabet from B to N, he sang the alphabet and kept going far past N.
The breathalyzer test he took was said to show a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 so he was written a ticket and posed for the mugshot shown here.
KCP, who is in his 4th and final season of his rookie contract, will be a restricted free agent this upcoming offseason.
The NBA said they will run a separate investigation and wait for the legal case to run its course.
